In this letter stacking game, players are building and changing words on a 5x5 grid to try and name things that match their secret mission. Players take turns playing letters or action cards from their hands to change the grid.

Game Play

Players may play two cards per turn. In this example, a player uses one letter and one action card to create the word "Orca".

On each player’s turn, that player may play one or two letter cards from their hand. Letter cards can be played on top of any card on the grid. At the end of each player’s turn, that player will draw cards from the deck back up to a full hand of 7 cards. There is no maximum hand-size.

Players may also play any of their action cards at any time during their turn. These action cards can only be used once each per game. Alternatively, if a player decides not to play any of their letter cards on the grid during their turn, they may discard any number of them from their hand and draw that many cards again as their turn. If a player chooses to do this, their turn ends and they may not play letters until their next turn.

Missions

Players have three secret missions. To complete one, a player must have two words matching the theme for their mission on the board at the same time. They can even use words other players have created! They can also choose to reveal a mission and "lock in" a word on the board matching it. That allows a player to have credit for that word even if it changes before they create or find a second one.

With the word Orca and the word Fish next to it, "Things in the Sea" is now complete. Playing the "o" also created the word "Four" for another player's mission to create numbers.

Once a player is able to complete all three of their secret missions, they are the winner!
