We are super excited to be launching our first KickStarter campaign!  The campaign will run for 30 days starting on January 20th at 11:00am (central time).  The goal of the campaign is to raise the money needed to fund the printing of our very first game Foodtown Throwdown.  The funding goal reflects the cost to produce 1,000 copies of the game, shipping, customs, taxes, and promotion.  Should we exceed that initial funding goal, we've got a couple of great stretch goals in mind to improve the quality of the printed components.  To head directly to the campaign page, click the banner above or use this link.  Thanks for checking out our project!

What is the project?

Foodtown Throwdown is our lite, fast-paced card game for 2-4 players where players build their own food truck business by creating classic food truck fare with crazy ingredients.  Maybe you're selling a grilled cheese on banana bread or a taco with jelly beans.  If you've got the ingredients, you can make it happen!

Why Kickstarter?

We need support funding this project.  The cost to produce a game in a commercial quantity is high for an indie start-up like us to cover.  Even after the cost of producing the game, the cost of shipping it can run into the thousands.  That's why we've turned to crowdfunding and kickstarter in particular.  Help us turn this dream into reality!

Why back this project?

To add incentive for backing our project on kickstarter before it hits store shelves, we've lowered the price to $19 (from $24.99) and are offering free shipping to all backers within the United States.  It will ship to our Kickstarter backers at least a month before arriving on store shelves, so in addition to the savings and the free shipping you can be one of the first to play the game!

All of this depends on you, though.  Without funding support we won't be able to produce this game.  Head over to the Kickstarter page and back today!

Update!

We're excited to announce partnerships with two of our favorite food trucks in Chicago: Gino's Steaks and Soups in the Loop.  Should we get funded through KS, both of these awesome trucks will be featured in the game with their own recipes!
